The National Institute for Genealogical Studies was established in Canada to assist all genealogists---from family historians to practicing professionals---by providing studies in a variety of genealogical topics.
Education provides an important role in raising levels of personal and visible growth and in the certification or accreditation of genealogists. Though now we have expanded worldwide.
With that in mind, we're transitioning to the International Institute of Genealogical Studies. You'll begin to see these changes over the next few months
Our goals as an educational institution are:
- To assist the family historian research and record information regarding their ancestors in a responsible and professional manner.
- To help the serious amateur genealogist gain the skills required to apply for certification or accreditation.
- To help the professional genealogist develop a part-time or full-time career in any of their chosen disciplines within the genealogical field.
A project of this magnitude can only be accomplished with the involvement of many. The exceptional assistance and effort of all who participated in the development of these courses, is greatly appreciated.
We continue adding as many subject-specific courses as possible in the learning process of genealogical studies and research.
If you'd like to apply as an expert to develop or update courses, you may send your resume to email@example.com for consideration.
Working knowledge and consistent, provable experience is necessary.
