Below is a list of major genealogical conferences. The sharing of information during conferences makes for quite a learning experience. It is not unusual for contacts to be made or to meet a long lost cousin during these conferences. You will also meet people who have gone through the same research experiences you are going through, and it is important to not make the same mistakes they may have made.

Conference of German-Australian History and Heritage
From August 17 to August 19, 2018
The German-Australian Genealogy and History Alliance is proud to bring you GAGHACon 2018, themed "Australisches Deutschtum: Reconnections - Recollections - Resilience". Come along and bridge the gap between academic, public and popular history and historians. Present your story: Consider telling your story whether it be from research, a project, an exhibition or your society. Let other's know what is happening around Australia. Listen to others: Hear from some of the finest researchers in Australia and overseas discuss their projects and help you undertake and present your own research, whether it be family history, cultural heritage, or social history.
